Welcome to this week’s edition of ‘The Adventure Capitalist’. Once a week, follow me to parts unknown in pursuit of wealth, wisdom, and what it means to live well.

Here’s what you can expect in this issue:

  • The case for action (death is on the horizon)

  • Trump won: Here’s how it will impact your money (and our world)

  • An assortment of links to get your blood flowing

Let’s go.

Death is coming for us all:

The spring of 2013 is one I'll never forget.

I was 23 years old, hustling in a Los Angeles startup, working hard to “get ahead.” Life was simple—until a call came that stopped me in my tracks.

One of my best friend’s father had passed away in tragic fashion.

He was just 63, only a few months into his long-awaited retirement.

He’d spent decades saving his vacation days, working hard to retire early, finally free to enjoy the life he’d put off for years.

It was supposed to be his time. And now that dream was gone. It died with him on the side of the road when he collapsed during a bike ride with his wife.

His sudden death shook me to my core. It forced me to question everything. Why wait to go on adventures with your family when that time will never come?

That’s the reason I write The Adventure Capitalist.

This newsletter is a call to action—a reminder to move something from your “someday” list to your “today” list.

The benefits of taking action on a dream are unparalleled. The energy you receive from saying “yes” to something you’ve always wanted to do will spill over to everything you touch. Your friends, your family, and your coworkers all feel the energy radiating from you when you’re inspired. It’s a superpower.

I implore you to take action today because tomorrow isn't promised.

That someday you're waiting for may never come.

🚁 The Best of the Best:

In October 1883, the most luxurious train in the world left Paris for Istanbul for the first time. After years of discontinued service, the Orient Express is back. An Italian architect painstakingly restored the 17 original Orient Express cars dating back to the 1920s and 1930s. You can currently take the Orient Express on smaller journeys through Europe, and in 2026 service begins once again from Paris to Istanbul. (link)

I’m doing a 30-day Carnivore challenge and have been crushing these beef chips from Carnivore Snax. They are the most delicious snacks I’ve found, just 100% grass-fed beef and salt. They get my 10/10 recommendation. (link)
